Learning in Budapest

Hi, we are Shirit and Elad.

We are a family who made Budapest our home. Through LUMVERA we help children, teenagers, adults and families with two things every family needs in a new place: good English, and a clear plan for its money.

Our story

“We fell in love with this city from the very first time we came here: the people, the views, the feeling of freedom.”

So we decided to build our company here.

Budapest did not stay a place we visited. We moved here with our children, and LUMVERA was born here. This is where we want to grow it, together with the families and communities around us.

The name

Light and truth

LUM comes from lumen, light in Latin. VERA means true. Together, LUMVERA means true light: the moment something that felt hard suddenly becomes clear.

That is our vision. Learning that brings light, simply and clearly, and real results you can see. No shortcuts, no false promises.

What we do

We needed it ourselves

Moving to a new country with children taught us, first hand, what a family really needs to feel at home. Now we help other families with exactly these two things, here in Budapest.

English, with Shirit

A language to belong

For our children, English was the key to a new school, new friends and confidence in a new place. We saw how much a good teacher changes everything.

Today: private lessons and small groups from 1st grade, spoken English for adults, and workshops for schools and communities.

Family finances, with Elad

A clear plan for the money

A new country means a new currency, new costs and new decisions. We learned how important it is to manage money with a clear plan, and not to guess.

Today: personal programs for families, single parents, students and seniors, in Hebrew or English.

What we believe

Small steps, real progress

Small successes build confidence

Every program gives an early win, so you believe you can do it.

Consistency beats talent

A few focused steps, one at a time, lead to real progress.

No pressure, no false promises

We build trust by understanding you and offering a clear plan.

Who you will meet

When you write to us, you talk to us

No call centre, no middlemen. We plan every program ourselves and stay with you along the way.
